There is a famous Maharashtrian eatery in Dadar, Mumbai which serves delicious Maharashtrian snacks. When I was working in Worli, I used to visit this place often. Till date, whenever we are crossing this area, picking up thalipeeth and sabudana wadas from this joint is a must. Its a non fancy place where strangers share tables, but it serves the best of Maharashtrian snacks. Along with their sabudana wadas, they serve an out of the world chutney. It did take me time to figure out how they make it, but eventually I managed to. One can add ginger paste, if it is not a upvas recipe. It can be served with sabudana wadas, sabudana thalipeeth or can be had stand alone 🙂

Ingredients

1 tsp Green chilly paste

1/2 tbsp Chopped fresh coriander

1/4 cup curd/Dahi

 1 tsp Sugar

1 tsp  Cumin seeds powder

1/4 cup roasted and coarsely ground Peanut powder

Salt

Method

  1. Beat the curd. Add rest of the ingredients.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Serve with sabudana wada or other upvas snacks.
